Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:48 AM MST on November 12, 2009
... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am MST Saturday...
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for heavy snow... which is in
effect from midnight tonight to 6 am MST Saturday.
Snowfall is expected to spread southward across the upper Gunnison
River Valley and the upper San Juan River basin later tonight and
Friday morning. Snow may become heavy at times with some blowing
and drifting possible with frontal passage. Total snowfall
accumulations from 3 to 6 inches are likely by Saturday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
