The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has cancelled the
Blizzard Warning.

* Locations include the cities of... Crested Butte... Taylor Park...
Marble.

* Timing... light snowfall this morning becomes heavy this
afternoon.

* Snow accumulation... additional 3 to 5 inches.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Impacts... travel is expected to be difficult this afternoon.

Another foot of snow along with strong wind is expected overnight.
This will keep the avalanche danger elevated through tomorrow
morning. Natural and human triggered avalanches remain likely on all
steep slopes.

Backcountry travel into or below avalanche terrain is not
recommended at this time.

periods of heavy snowfall and increasing winds are forecast for the
next couple days. Natural and human triggered avalanches are likely
on all steep slopes today.
