Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:05 PM MDT on May 06, 2015

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
1015 PM MDT for southwestern Eagle... Delta... Mesa... western Pitkin...
northwestern Gunnison and southern Garfield counties...

At 901 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated less intense rain showers
during the past hour. Streams and normally Dry Wash beds that have
been running high will be receding for the rest of the night. Some
showers will persist during the next hour... therefore the Urban and
Small Stream Flood Advisory continues. Many areas have received
0.50 to 1.50 inches of rain during the past 24 hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grand Junction... Glenwood Springs... Fruita... Rifle... Delta...
Gypsum... Carbondale... New Castle... Basalt... Orchard City... Silt...
Palisade... Cedaredge... Paonia... Parachute... Collbran... De Beque...
Marble... Snowmass and Mesa.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
