The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
north central Boulder County in central Colorado...

* until 130 am MDT

* at 1032 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will
cause small stream flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and
2.4 inches of rain has fallen in a small area from west of Lyons
to just north of Jamestown in the last 3 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lyons and Jamestown.

This includes the following streams and drainages... north Saint Vrain
creek... little James Creek... Left Hand creek... Saint Vrain creek...
south Saint Vrain creek... Dry Creek... James Creek... little Thompson
river and middle Saint Vrain creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
creeks and streams... roads and roadside culverts. The heavy rains
could also trigger rock slides or debris flows in steep terrain.
