Statement as of 10:01 PM MDT on July 07, 2015

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
north central Mesa County in west central Colorado...

* until 100 am MDT

* at 957 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cameo... and along Jerry and Spring creeks... including Interstate
70 near Cameo.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water on roadways... minor mud
and rock slides... possibly affecting Interstate 70. Do not attempt
to travel across flooded roads.

Excessive runoff will cause minor flooding of small creeks and
streams... as well as ranch and country roads. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
