Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 11:49 AM MST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 5 am MST
Wednesday...

* timing... light snow will become widespread this late this
afternoon and may be heavy at times this evening. The snow will
diminish in Denver after midnight... but snow may linger south
of Denver into the early morning hours.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches... with up to 7 inches near
the foothills and in southern Douglas and Elbert counties.

* Wind/visibility... north winds at 15 to 30 mph are expected
behind a front this evening. The gusty winds combined with the
heavier snow may reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less
this evening.

* Impacts... roads will become snowpacked and icy around sunset and
possibly for the rush hour this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
