Showers and thunderstorms will continue to spread eastward across the northeast plains of Colorado through the midnight hour. Most of these will be north of a line from Briggsdale to Merino to Holyoke. The strongest storms moving across northern Weld County and into western Logan County will be capable of producing heavy rainfall...frequent cloud to ground lightning...and gusty winds up to 40 mph. Rainfall amounts of one quarter to one half inch in 20 minutes will be common as these storms roll through.
