Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:27 AM MST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to
5 am MST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 2 PM this
afternoon to 5 am MST Wednesday.

* Timing... scattered snow showers will develop this morning.
Steadier snow will become widespread this afternoon and may be
heavy at times this evening. The snow will diminish in Denver
after midnight... but significant snow may linger south of
Denver into the early morning hours.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches... with up to 7 inches near
the foothills and in southern Douglas and Elbert counties.

* Wind/visibility... north winds at 15 to 30 mph can be expected
today... possibly causing low visibility in blowing snow this
afternoon. Winds will become northeast and diminish this
evening.

* Impacts... roads will become snowpacked and icy... possibly by
rush hour this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
