Statement as of 5:26 AM MST on November 15, 2009
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
evening...
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
evening.
This Winter Weather Advisory is for the Sawatch and mosquito
ranges above 11000 feet... including Monarch and Fremont passes... .
as well as western and central Fremont County... Teller County...
and northern El Paso County.
Additional snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 inches are expected
by late this afternoon across the Sawatch and mosquito ranges.
Snowfall amounts of 3 to 8 inches can be expected across
Teller... portions of Fremont... and northern El Paso
counties... with the heaviest snow falling this morning. Gusty
northeast winds of 15 to 30 mph will cause areas of blowing and
drifting snow at times this afternoon... especially across
northern El Paso County.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
If you are planning to travel in the advisory area during the
time of the advisory... listen to the latest weather forecast and
consider traveling at another time or by another Route.
