... Flash Flood Watch in effect from noon MDT /1 PM CDT/ today
through this evening...

The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Colorado...
northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska... including the
following areas... in east central Colorado... Kit Carson and
Yuma. In northwest Kansas... Cheyenne KS. In southwest
Nebraska... Dundy.

* From noon MDT /1 PM CDT/ today through this evening

* widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches... with some
locations receiving as much as 6 inches... were reported Friday
night. With more moderate to heavy rainfall expected this
afternoon and evening over the same area... flash flooding may
occur.

* Central Kit Carson County will be especially favorable for flash
flooding due to rainfall totals of 6 inches occurring there last
night.

* Please report any flash flooding to local law enforcement.
Reports can also be sent to the National Weather Service in
Goodland by phone or through social media.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that additional rainfall may result in
flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to move quickly to higher
ground should flash flooding occur.
