... Winter Storm Warning in effect from noon Friday to 8 PM MST
Monday above 7000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Storm Warning above 7000 feet for snow and blowing snow... which
is in effect from noon Friday to 8 PM MST Monday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations include the cities of... Skyway... Crested Butte...
Marble... Ridgway.

* Timing... Friday through Monday evening. Snow may be heavy at
times Friday night through Saturday evening.

* Snow accumulation... 1 to 2 feet are possible... lesser amounts
on north facing slopes.

* Snow level... the best accumulations will occur above 7000 feet.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts Saturday and
Saturday night.

* Visibility... restricted at times in snow and blowing snow.

* Impacts... travel is expected to be impaired this weekend through
Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds and blowing snow are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
