... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM MST
Wednesday...

* location... southern El Paso... Pueblo... and eastern Fremont
counties... the southern I-25 corridor including Walsenburg and
Trinidad... and Las Animas... and Baca counties.

* Cause and timing... an Arctic air mass combined with a upper
level weather system will bring a mixture of freezing
drizzle... fog and periods of snow tonight through Wednesday
afternoon. Freezing drizzle will change over to snow later
tonight as a secondary cold front moves through the region.

* Total snow accumulation... light ice accumulations less than 1/4
of an inch through the evening and early overnight hours. Then 1 to
4 inches of snow through Wednesday afternoon.

* Impact... travel conditions are expected to deteriorate through
the overnight hours as temperatures continue to fall... and Road
surfaces ice up. Light snow will spread across the region
overnight through early Wednesday morning resulting in slick...
snowpacked and icy roads.
