The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Wind Advisory for the Colorado River valley... generally between Parker Dam and Martinez Lake until noon MST /11 am PST.
Gusty north winds between 30 and 45 mph will continue along the Colorado River valley until noon MST. Locations in the Wind Advisory include Parker Dam... the city of Parker... Blythe... Ehrenberg... south toward Martinez Lake.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. In addition... strong winds over desert areas could result in briefly lowered visibilities to well under a mile at times in blowing dust or blowing sand. Use extra caution.

... Red flag warning in effect until 1 PM MST /noon PST/ this afternoon for portions of the lower Colorado River valley due to strong gusty northerly winds... low humidity and high fire danger...
The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a red flag warning... which is in effect until 1 PM MST /noon PST/ this afternoon.
Strong gusty northerly winds... up to 35 mph... will persist along portions of the lower Colorado River valley into the early afternoon. A very dry air mass has overspread the area and humidity levels have rapidly dropped to less than 15 percent in this area and will remain low today. The strong gusty winds combined with low humidity and dry fuels will create hazardous fire weather conditions that will exist for most of the day. Winds are expected to diminish later this afternoon... and remain light overnight.
