... Downtown Los Angeles finally records daily high temperature at or above normal after 49 consecutive days...
Since may 22nd... the daily high temperature at downtown Los Angeles was below normal on every single day through July 9th... a total of 49 consecutive days. While records for consecutive days with below normal temperatures are not typically maintained... this does represent a noteworthy stretch of cool weather across the Los Angeles County coastal plain. The main reason for this extended period of cool weather was a persistent upper level trough along and off the West Coast.
The official high for today downtown reached 86 degrees. The normal high temperature for today is 83 degrees.
