Freeze Watch
Statement as of 3:56 AM PDT on March 30, 2015

... Freeze watch in effect from late Tuesday night through
Wednesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a freeze
watch... which is in effect from late Tuesday night through
Wednesday morning.

* Temperatures: 27 to 30 degrees fahrenheit in the freeze watch
area.

* Temperature inversion: no temperature inversion is expected
Wednesday morning.

* Timing: between midnight and 9 am PDT.

* Locations include: Weed and outlying areas of the Shasta Valley.

* View the hazard area in detail at
http://weather.Gov/Medford/hazard

* impacts: there is some uncertainty in the temperature
forecast... as clouds and wind could keep temperatures slightly
warmer. This will be a cold and persistent air mass that will
bring the possibility of temperatures that could damage
sensitive vegetation each morning through Friday morning. The
current forecast indicates Friday will be the coldest morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
