A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 10 am PST Thursday for western Plumas County including the Lassen park area.
Snow will be possible over the higher terrain... above 6000 feet by Wednesday afternoon. Snow will increase Wednesday night into Thursday morning becoming moderate to heavy at times. Snow levels will lower to around 4000 feet by Thursday morning. Accumulations up to 4 inches will be possible above 6000 feet with up to 2 inches above 4000 feet. In addition... southwest wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible over the higher terrain Wednesday night. Snow will decrease Thursday morning with scattered snow showers possible into Thursday afternoon.
