Statement as of 8:15 PM PST on December 17, 2009 ... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until noon PST Friday... A dense fog advisory for the central and southern San Joaquin Valley remains in effect until noon PST Friday. * Visibility: visibilities will be reduced below one-quarter of a mile across the San Joaquin Valley for several hours overnight and into Friday morning. * Impacts: dense fog will impact travel for motorists driving across sections of the valley floor overnight into Friday morning. Major travel corridors such as CA-99 and I-5 will likely be affected by the dense fog. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile.
