Widespread fog has developed across the Sacramento and San Joaquin valleys...and the Delta this morning. A dense fog advisory is now in effect for these areas. The lowest visibilities reported this morning are near Sacramento international Airport on Interstate 5...and near Fairfield on Interstate 80. Commuters will encounter areas of dense fog...with visibilities below 1/8 of a mile in the fog prone areas along the causeways and along streams and creeks. The visibility may vary widely along this mornings commute...so be prepared for rapid fluctuations in visibility. Slow down...use your low beam headlights...and allow extra space between vehicles. The fog will become denser around sunrise...then should begin to lift by 10 a.M.
