... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening above 5000 feet...

* snow accumulations: an additional 2 to 5 inches.

* Elevation: above 5000 feet.

* Timing: through Saturday evening. After 3 PM, most of the
          snow activity will be south of Interstate 80.

* Locations include: Blue Canyon... Donner Pass... Echo Summit...
Carson Pass.

* Winds: west 5 to 10 mph.

* Impacts: travel delays and chain requirements likely across
the mountain passes including Interstate 80 and Highway 50.
