Freeze Warning
Statement as of 2:15 PM PST on November 15, 2009
... Freeze warning in effect from 2 am to 8 am PST Monday...
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
freeze warning for the Antelope Valley. This warning is in effect
from 2 am to 8 am PST Monday. The freeze watch is no longer in
effect.
Clear skies will allow the air mass to cool below freezing between
10 PM and midnight tonight... with temperatures dropping to the
lower to mid 20s around 2 am Monday. Sub-freezing temperatures and
hard freeze conditions will persist through 8 am Monday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures reach and fall
below 28 degrees for at least two hours are imminent or highly
likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive
vegetation.
