... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST this morning... A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST this morning for the West Slope of the northern Sierra Nevada. Snow showers have developed over the Sierra Nevada overnight and will continue this morning. Snow levels have dropped to around 5000 feet. Snowfall accumulations up to 3 inches are possible over the higher elevations... including the passes on Interstate 80 and highways 50 and 88. Showers will taper off this morning from north to south as the system moves out of the area. Isolated showers are possible through this afternoon in the cold air behind this system. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that motorists should be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Use caution when driving and be prepared for winter driving conditions. Hso
