Statement as of 9:05 PM PST on December 16, 2009 ... Patchy dense fog developing this evening... Patchy dense fog has begun to form around portions of the San Joaquin Valley... especially along the Highway 198 corridor. Visibilities could fall to only a few hundred feet in spots. Motorists should be cautious overnight and into Thursday morning. At Highway speeds you could quickly find yourself driving from a clear area into extremely low visibility in a matter of seconds. If you must stop... pull completely off the Road to avoid a collision. Jmb |
