The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a freeze
watch for the central and southern San Joaquin Valley... which is
in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. The
freeze warning for the central and South Valley for this morning
has been cancelled. A freeze warning remains in effect from 10
PM this evening to 9 am PST Wednesday.

A very cold airmass is in place across the valley. Coldest
temperatures of the current freeze will likely occur tonight.

* For this morning: temperatures in the central and southern San
Joaquin Valley have risen above 28 degrees.

* For tonight: temperatures could bottom out as low as 21 or 22
degrees in normally coldest areas. Durations of 28 degrees or
lower will be from 4 to 9 hours... with a total duration below
freezing of up to 13 hours.

* For Wednesday night: there is still uncertainty on whether
clouds from an approaching weather system will arrive in time
to prevent another night of freezing temperatures. Be prepared
to continue protective measures.
