Statement as of 3:23 PM PDT on October 10, 2008 ... Wind Advisory now in effect until 8 PM PDT Saturday... The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 8 PM PDT Saturday. Northerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40 mph this afternoon and evening will decrease to 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph after sunset. The winds will increase again to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40 mph Saturday morning. Winds are expected to decrease across most areas Saturday evening. Strong and gusty winds can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

	Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 3:11 PM PDT on October 10, 2008 ... Red flag warning now in effect until 5 PM PDT Sunday... North to northeast wind of 15 to 30 mph will continue with local gusts 30 to 45 mph. There will a tendency for winds to decrease in portions of the valley at night. Daytime humidities are expected to be in the teens with generally poor overnight humidity recoveries. Critical fire weather conditions are expected into Sunday. Winds are expected to decrease in most areas Sunday evening however locally gusty conditions will continue in portions of the west slopes of the Sierra Nevada into Monday morning. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this warning.
