Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:02 PM PST on March 01, 2015

The National Weather Service in Oxnard has issued an

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
southern and central Los Angeles County in southwest California...
this includes the cities of... Tujunga... Sunland... Sierra Madre...
Lake View Terrace... La Crescenta... La Canada/Flintridge... Monterey
Park... Los Angeles... Long Beach...

* until 200 am PST

* at 1058 PM PST... National Weather Service radar indicated moderate
to heavy showers increasing in coverage across Los Angeles County.
Rainfall rates of 0.20 to 0.40 inches per hour are expected to
continue through the very early morning hours Monday. This rain
will cause significant ponding of water on area roadways with
local flooding in low lying areas and intersections.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas...
highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
areas and low lying spots.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
