Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 1:03 PM PDT on August 27, 2015

... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 300 PM PDT for north
central San Bernardino County...

At 103 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cima... Mountain Pass... Hole In the Wall campground... Nipton... Nipton
and Ivanpah roads... Black Canyon equestrian campground and mid hills

This includes Interstate 15 in California between mile markers 153
and 186.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heavy rain will lead to flowing water in normally dry washes and
ponding of water on roads. Low water crossings can be dangerous in
heavy rain. Do not drive into flooded roads or low water crossings.
Report flooded roads to the Las Vegas National Weather Service via
facebook or twitter.

... Record high minimum temperature set at Las Vegas NV Tuesday...

A record high minimum temperature (or record warmest low
temperature) of 87 degrees was set at the official climate station
at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on Tuesday August
25th. This broke the previous record of 86 for that date, which was
last set in 2011. Official records at Las Vegas date back to 1937.
