==Discussion==

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

An intense Pacific frontal system is crossing the South Coast today.
Southeast winds of 60 to 80 km/h over exposed coastal sections will
start to ease by noon.

Over Greater Victoria the winds are expected to increase again in
the wake of the front. Westerly wind gusts will approach 90 km/h
this evening before gradually easing overnight.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing Road conditions due
to high winds.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
Please monitor local media or weatheradio. Email reports of severe
weather to pacificstorm(at)ec.Gc.CA or tweet with the hashtag (hash)bcstorm.
