... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 8 PM
MST this evening...

* timing... strong southwesterly winds will develop this morning
and continue through sunset. Locations downwind of higher
terrain features (doney park and The House Rock valley) may see
advisory level winds early this morning.

* Winds... expect southwest winds of 20 to 35 mph and gusts from 35
to 45 mph across the advisory area.

* Impacts... localized blowing dust may develop along I-40 east of
Flagstaff and roads across the Navajo and hopi nations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or gusts
from 40 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Consider

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 10 am this morning to
8 PM MST this evening for strong winds and low relative
humidity...

* affected area... northeastern Arizona from the eastern Mogollon
Rim and White Mountains north to the Utah border.

* Timing... winds will increase later this morning... becoming
strong and gusty through sunset.

* 20 foot winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Minimum relative humidity... as low as 7 percent.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring or are imminent. A combination of strong
