A Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight MST /11 PM PST/
tonight.

The dust Storm Warning...
is mainly for the Colorado River area... Yuma County especially
Interstate 8... southwest Maricopa County including areas near
Interstate 8 and Gila Bend... and northern Pinal County along
Interstate 10 between Chandler and Casa Grande. Blowing dust at times
could limit visibilities to less than 1/4 mile at times.

* A very strong cold front will move through the region this
afternoon and evening.

* Timing: winds will steadily increase through the day today. The
strongest winds are expected between 11 am PST and 11 PM PST.

* Winds: west winds of 25 to 45 mph are expected today and early
tonight.

* Impacts: strong winds will not only lead to dangerous driving and
boating conditions... but also reduced visibilities in dense
blowing dust and sand.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of between 30 and
40 mph are expected... or wind gusts of between 40 and 50 mph. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. In addition... strong winds over desert areas could result
in briefly lowered visibilities to well under a mile at times in
blowing dust or blowing sand. Use extra caution.
