A freeze warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am MST Saturday.

* Affected areas...much of Maricopa County...northwest Pinal...La Paz...and portions of Yuma County...including areas just outside the center of the greater Phoenix area...the communities of Gila grande...Florence...Quartzsite...Tacna... Dateland...Wellton...

* temperature...several hours below freezing with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.

* Impacts...temperatures below freezing for several hours will kill unprotected sensitive vegetation. Outdoor pets may need to be sheltered indoors.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will destroy or damage crops and other sensitive vegetation.

...Near freezing temperatures are expected again tonight through early Sunday morning on the deserts...

A cold air-mass will remain over the region for another night. Minimum temperatures will not be as cold as Saturday morning...however many desert locations will still approach the freezing mark Sunday morning. Warmer conditions are expected Monday.
