...Major winter storm expected across the region Wednesday and Thursday...
A major winter storm is expected to move into the region early Wednesday...spreading precipitation into the area along with much cooler temperatures. Precipitation is expected to begin across southeast California early Wednesday morning with a mix of rain and snow likely above 2000 feet. Rainfall will move into the Phoenix area Wednesday afternoon and evening before tapering off early Thursday morning. The higher elevation locations to the north and east of Phoenix will likely see rain mix with and change over to snow early Thursday morning. Light to moderate accumulations are possible across portions of Gila County.
If you are planning travel later this week...be prepared for the possibility of wintry conditions across the higher elevations.
