Nowcast | as of 6:21 PM CDT on April 19, 2015

At 6:16 PM... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate scattered showers and thunderstorms continuing over parts of eastern Oklahoma and most numerous across western Arkansas. The showers and storms had ended roughly to the west of Highway 75 in eastern Oklahoma. The precipitation persisted to the east with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms advancing eastward at 35 to 40 mph. Through 8:00 PM... a cold front will continue to sweep toward the southeast into eastern Oklahoma. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to abate from northwest to southeast. As low pressure rapidly skirts eastward into southwest Missouri... precipitation is expected to become confined to location along and east of Highway 69 in eastern Oklahoma... while continuing across much of western Arkansas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for parts of eastern Oklahoma and all of western Arkansas until 8:00 PM CDT Sunday.
