At 12:50 PM...National Weather Service radars detected scattered showers and thunderstorms spreading across portions of eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas. The main activity was located along and south of a line from Bristow to Stigler to Mansfield in southern Sebastian County in northwest Arkansas. A second area of showers and storms were across parts of Osage...Pawnee...Tulsa and Washington counties in northeast Oklahoma. All of these showers and storms were moving toward the north and northeast at around 25 miles per hour. Through 2:00 am...scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop and move across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Some of the storms could become strong... with the main threats being large hail and strong winds. Hourly rainfall amounts from a couple hundredths of an inch to near a half inch will be possible...with locally higher amounts around one inch per hour will be possible within the stronger thunderstorm activity.
