Statement as of 10:51 AM CDT on May 30, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Arkansas River at Pine Bluff.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 45.1 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to level out around 45 feet today, then
very slowly falling into early next week. However, high water in Oklahoma
will cause the river to rise again, cresting near 45.2 feet around
Wednesday. Flows are over 340,000 cfs and will remain high into next week.
* Impacts at 45.0 feet... levee patrolling begins in Pine Bluff area.
Residences in island Harbour inundated.
* This flood crest will be the highest crest since may of 1990, when
the river rose to 44.7 feet.

   including the following areas... in central Arkansas...
Conway... Faulkner... Garland... Grant... Lonoke... Perry... Pope...
Pulaski... Saline... white and Yell. In north central
Arkansas... Baxter... Boone... Cleburne... Fulton...
Independence... Izard... Marion... Newton... Searcy... sharp...

approaches. While rainfall amounts will be less than previous

near bank full. Any additional rainfall will not be able to
drain into waterways... increasing the threat for flash flooding.
