Nowcast | as of 12:58 am CST on March 1, 2015

At 12:58 am...National Weather Service Doppler radars detected a mix of light rain and some light sleet falling across parts of southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Areas farther west across northeast Oklahoma where seeing mainly light freezing drizzle. While the area of precipitation continues to lift northeast at around 40 mph...the entire area was slowly shifting east. Through 3:00 am...areas of light freezing rain and some sleet will continue mainly to the east of a Wilburton to Fayetteville line...with areas of freezing drizzle elsewhere. Parts of far southeast Oklahoma should creep gradually above freezing. Many area roadways remain slick and hazardous...as such...any travel around eastern Oklahoma or northwest Arkansas is discouraged. If you must venture out this evening...drive carefully...and allow extra time to reach your destination. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas until 6 am CST Sunday.
