Lake Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:00 PM CDT on May 11, 2008
... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...
A strong low over the Indiana Ohio border will continue moving across the Midwest states. This... combined with high pressure over the plains... will keep a strong pressure difference over the region. Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph will persist until late afternoon... with gusts to 35 mph.
High pressure is expected to move east tonight... passing directly over Arkansas... resulting in diminishing winds after dark.
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
