... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Wednesday morning through
late Wednesday night...

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
late Wednesday night.

* Event... sleet and snow will spread across the state from north
to south on Wednesday. Wintry precipitation will initially
start as sleet before quickly transitioning to snow.

* Areas affected... locations north of a line from Jasper... to
Mountain View... to Batesville... to Newport.

* Timing... sleet will begin Wednesday morning and transition to
snow before midday... with snow continuing through late Wednesday
night or early Thursday morning.

* Impacts... accumulating snow will likely cause travel issues on
area roadways.
