... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from noon Wednesday to
6 am CST Thursday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from noon Wednesday to
6 am CST Thursday.

* Event... freezing rain... sleet... and snow will spread across the
state from north to south on Wednesday. Wintry precipitation
will initially start as freezing rain and sleet before quickly
transitioning to snow. Freezing rain accumulations will be less
than a tenth of an inch. Snow amounts will be from 2 to 4 inches
with isolated higher amounts.

* Areas affected... much of the central third of the state.

* Timing... a brief period of freezing rain and sleet will begin by
midday Wednesday and quickly transition to snow before the
evening hours... with snow continuing through late Wednesday
night or early Thursday morning.

* Impacts... accumulating snow will likely cause travel issues on
area roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

The dense fog advisory is now in effect until 11 am CST this
morning.

* Event... areas of dense fog will be prevalent through mid
morning Tuesday.

* Areas affected... mainly along and south of a Waldron... to
Little Rock... to Brinkley line. This includes the cities of
Mena... Arkadelphia... Camden... Little Rock and Brinkley.

* Visibility... visibility will be reduced to less than one
quarter mile at times.

* Impacts... dense fog will make driving conditions hazardous...
especially in valleys... outlying areas and near bodies of
water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
