Statement as of 3:53 AM CST on November 27, 2009 ... Freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am CST this morning... A freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am CST this morning. Calm winds and dry air filtered into the state overnight allowing for temperatures to fall near or several degrees below freezing. The main areas affected remained over the western two thirds of the state. The coldest temperatures will remain in valleys and other low lying areas. Temperatures will begin to warm after sunrise. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
