At 1:28 PM... National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated bands of light snow remaining spread across parts of northeast Oklahoma. Mostly along and north of I 40. Temperatures had dropped to 32 degrees or less... across most of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Generally locations along and east of a Fort Smith Arkansas to Poteau to Choctaw Oklahoma line... remained above 32 degrees. Predominantly sleet was occurring across parts of southeast Oklahoma and throughout much of northwest and west central Arkansas. A change over to snow had occurred at Fayetteville in Washington County Arkansas. Through 3:00 PM... areas of light rain will continue to transition to freezing rain and sleet... then to snow in parts of southeast Oklahoma and in west central Arkansas. A powerful late winter cold front is expected continue sweeping toward the southeast... eventually producing a change to frozen precipitation across the entire region.
