At 11:26 am... National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated bands of light snow having spread across northeast Oklahoma. Mostly along and north of I 44. Temperatures had dropped to 32 degrees or less... roughly along and north of a Berryville to Fayetteville Arkansas to Okmulgee Oklahoma line. Predominantly sleet was occurring north of this line... to I 44... where a transition to snow had commenced. Rain was falling over most of southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas. Through 1:30 PM... areas of light rain will continue to transition to freezing rain and sleet in southeast Oklahoma and in west central Arkansas. A powerful late winter cold front is expected continue sweeping toward the southeast... eventually producing a change to freezing or frozen precipitation across the entire region.
