At 5:15 am...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a weakening area of showers and thunderstorms across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Most of the showers and storms were northeast of a Pawhuska to Tulsa to Stilwell line. The showers and storms were moving southwest at 35 miles an hour. Through 7 am...showers and thunderstorms will continue to weaken as they move southwest across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Areas north of Interstate 40 are most liekly to be affected before 7 am. Brief heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning will accompany the storms. Additional rainfall amounts up to one half inch will be possible through 7 am.
