At midnight... National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect a large area of light snow across parts of southeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas. This activity was lifting to the northeast. Through 2:00 am...periods of light snow will continue across southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Mainly a dusting of snow is expected...although a few spots may pick up around a half inch in the heavier bands. Roads may be slick in spots...so be careful driving.

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until midnight CST Saturday
night...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has adjusted the timing of
the Winter Weather Advisory and it is now in effect until midnight
CST Saturday night...

For the following counties...
* in Oklahoma... Mayes and Delaware. In Arkansas... Benton and
   Carroll.

Hazardous weather...
* snow will increase in coverage and intensity late tonight and
   early Saturday morning. The snow will mix with or change to
   light sleet and then light freezing rain or freezing drizzle by
   Saturday evening.

* 2 to 3 inches of snow are expected followed by a thin coating
   of ice.

Impacts...
* roads in the advisory area will become slick and hazardous...
   especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
* use extra caution if driving. Attempt to stay on treated
   roadways. Expect travel delays.
