* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 28.5 feet by
early Saturday morning.

scattered to numerous showers lifting northward across parts of
central and northern Arkansas. This activity will eventually taper
off through the evening hours. Even though heavy rainfall as ended
for the most areas... excessive runoff will continue through the
evening. There are many primary and secondary roads still inundated
with high water across the region. A number of smaller creeks...
streams remain at or above bankfull in many locations through the
overnight hours.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... highways and underpasses. Additionally... country
roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks... streams and other low
lying areas are subject to flooding.
