Dallas Severe Watches & Warnings NOAA Weather Radio

Special Statement
Statement as of 3:41 AM CDT on August 27, 2014

...Another steamy day on tap...

The combination of highs in the 90s and high humidity levels will result in heat indices topping out in the mid to upper 90s. The heat indices will be slightly lower than the past few days as highs will be down a touch and slightly drier air is working its way into the state.

While these indices will fall short of heat advisory criteria... residents should use extra caution during the afternoon to early evening hours. Be cautious if spending any time outdoors and make sure to drink plenty of water. Limit the amount of time spent in the heat by rescheduling strenuous activities to the early morning or evening. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air- conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives...neighbors and out door pets.
