* until 145 PM CDT

* at 1029 am CDT... trained weather spotters report that 3 to 5
inches of rain has occurred over the past 6 hours. Showers and
thunderstorms will produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain
over the next 3 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Southaven... Olive Branch... Horn Lake... Hernando... Holly Springs...
Wall Doxey State Park... T o Fuller State Park... Byhalia... walls...
Edmondson... Horseshoe Lake... Anthonyville... Eudora... Pinckney...

Mississippi and west Tennessee... including the following
areas... in east Arkansas... Crittenden... cross... Lee... Phillips
and St. Francis. In north Mississippi... Alcorn... Benton...
Calhoun... Chickasaw... Coahoma... DeSoto... Itawamba...
Lafayette... Lee... Marshall... Monroe... Panola... Pontotoc...
Prentiss... Quitman... Tallahatchie... Tate... Tippah...
Tishomingo... Tunica... Union and Yalobusha. In west Tennessee...
   Fayette... Hardeman... Hardin... McNairy and Shelby.

The Flood Advisory continues for
the Mississippi River at Memphis
* until Tuesday July 7.
* At 8 PM Thursday the stage was 29.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 31.5 feet Friday July 10.
* At 32.0 feet... in Arkansas, the Road to the dwelling on south end
of island 40 chute is flooding. The levee near Danner Lake has
water on it. Water is up to most of the levee west of island 40
chute and on south to I-55. Most all land between Memphis and West
Memphis is covered by water.
