... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* portions of north central Alabama and northeast Alabama...
including the following areas... in north central Alabama...
Cullman. In northeast Alabama... DeKalb... Jackson and Marshall.
* Until 6 PM CST this evening
* the remnants of Tropical Depression Ida will move northward
across the Tennessee Valley today. As a result... heavy rainfall
of 2 to 4 inches can be expected across northeast Alabama. The
heavy rainfall will begin taper off later this evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
