* locally heavy rain will be possible across parts of central Alabama this evening as the remnants of tropical system Ida across the area. Radar estimates that 2 to 4 inches of rain have already fallen across the watch area... and another 1.5 inches of rain is possible this evening. Ponding of water in low lying areas and stream rises are likely... and some flooding may occur.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect until 3 PM CST Wednesday. This will replace the Wind Advisory... which has been cancelled.
North to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph will be possible.

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
