The Flood Warning continues for
the Alabama River at Montgomery.
* Until this evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:00 am Saturday the stage was 35.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late this morning.
* Impact... at 35.0 feet... extensive overflow of lowlands in the area
begins at 35 feet and above

... Gate operations have begun at Martin dam... Alabama power company advises that gate operations have begun at Martin dam due to heavy rainfall that has occurred over the Tallapoosa river Basin. Two gates were opened at 814 am Saturday morning and are expected to remain open through the weekend. Conditions will continue to be monitored closely. Ksl
