The Flood Watch has been extended for

Jefferson... Perry... Shelby... St. Clair and Talladega. In east
central Alabama... Calhoun... Chambers... Clay... Cleburne... Lee...
Macon... Randolph... Russell and Tallapoosa. In northeast
Alabama... Cherokee and Etowah.

* locally heavy rain will be possible across parts of central
Alabama this evening as the remnants of tropical system Ida
across the area. Radar estimates that 2 to 4 inches of rain
have already fallen across the watch area... and another 1.5
inches of rain is possible this evening. Ponding of water in
low lying areas and stream rises are likely... and some
flooding may occur.
